Things to Do This Weekend - 2/25 – 2/26 Edition
Had an attack of RL here in La Casa this week hence the sparseness of the posts, but there is a whole lot of cool stuff going on Saturday and Sunday to check out. So there’s a list for this weekend in PDX. All are kid friendly and either free or a good value for the money. Given we are expecting a normal wet and chilly February forecast I stuck to indoor events.

Fix It Fair Saturday 8:30 am – 2:00 pm Jefferson High School 5210 N Kerby Ave. Sounds like this will be better for older kids but also a great way to learn some new skills and get information on money saving resources. Main page has class schedule. Over 60 exhibits, lunch and on-site childcare provided.

Unique Animal Expo Saturday and Sunday at the Washington County Fair Grounds 10 am to 5 pm: Adults - $8.00, Seniors -$5.00, Children (ages 5 to 12) - $4.00, Children under 5 free with paid Adult. 114 vendors for birds, mammals and reptiles. Free $1 coupon here.

Rummage Sale for Whole Planet Foundation Event at the Whole Foods Market Tanasbourne Saturday from 10am-6pm. ”Meet us out in front of the store to see what goodies you MUST HAVE! All proceeds will benefit our Whole Planet Foundation.”

Whole Planet Foundation Kickoff Lunch party! Event at the Whole Foods Market Tanasbourne Saturday from 10am-6pm. ” A healthy, delicious lunch for $5? Absolutely. All of the proceeds given to our Whole Planet Foundation to fund micro loans in developing countries? Absolutely.  Join us for a bowl of soup, salad, and bread from our kitchen, with dessert to follow.” Also live music.

Get the Buzz on Bees  Saturday 2:30 pm – 3:30pm at the Hillsboro Main Library. “Do bees fascinate or frighten you? Learn about their magical ways with Brian Lacy, who's kept bees since he was 14 years old.”

Storytime at the Beaverton Main Library Saturday 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM for English and 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM for Spanish. All ages.

Frugally Yours-
