NW PDX Educational Opportunities – Spring Issue  

Despite the snow flakes last weekend Spring is coming. So it is time to dust off the books and the brains and learn something new. Here’s a selection of the free and low cost learning options available in the NW Metro. Too far away? Check your local libraries, community centers and parks departments for more accessible learning selections.
Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District Spring class registration begins Saturday. Check out the online catalog. Learn something new or polish an old skill. Fees vary, all ages.

Intercambio/Exchange at the Beaverton City Library every Saturday in March from 10:00 – 12:00pm. Do you want to improve your Spanish? Then come to one of our conversation groups. Spanish speakers improve their English skills and English speakers improve their Spanish skills. This group is free and open to the public. Quiere mejorar su ingles? Entonces venga a uno de nuestros grupos de conversacion! Nuestros grupos son totalmente gratuitos.
Hillsboro Parks and Recreation Winter/Spring 2012 registration is ongoing. Check out the online catalog. Learn something new or polish an old skill. Fees vary, all ages.
Intercambio/Exchange at the Hillsboro Library - Shute Park Branch every Saturday in March from 10:30 – 11:30am. Practice English or Spanish and help others learn in a friendly atmosphere. Beginners welcome! Practique inglés o español y ayude a los demás que están aprendiendo en un ambiente amable. ¡Están bienvenidos los principiantes! Teens and up.
PCC Community Education Spring catalog is up and open for registration. Oodles of interesting classes. Some are even online. Fees/times vary. Check it out!
