Things to Do This Weekend 3/24 – 3/25 Edition  

Happy Belated Vernal Equinox! If your family is like mine you didn’t have time to celebrate the first day of Spring on the 20th. Well no worries, we have you covered! Here’s a bit of frugal frivolity for this Saturday and Sunday.  So go out and enjoy PDX. All events are kid friendly and either free or a good value for the money.

Too far away? Check your local stores, libraries, community centers and parks departments for more accessible activities.

Better Living Show at the
Portland Expo Center Friday Noon-9pm, Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-5pm. “Compare, Shop, Try and Buy! Earth friendly products for you, your Northwest home & garden and your budget.” Free admission.

$3 Movies at Mcmenamins PG selections this week include Hugo, Big Miracle and We Bought a Zoo. Click through to check locations and times. Saturday and Sunday. All day; all ages. $3. 

PDX Bicycle Show at the Portland Expo Center Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 10am-5 pm. “There will be LOTS of fun entertainment and activities for every level of bicyclist in your family. Plus check out Portland’s largest display of bicycles, gear and apparel under one roof.” $10 for ages 12 and up, but click here for a coupon

Benefit BBQ for our Whole Planet Foundation at the Tanasbourne Whole Foods - Saturday 12pm-2pm. “Join us for this event, hosted by our Meat and Prepared Foods Team.  100% of the proceeds will benefit our Whole Planet Foundation.”  $5 no registration necessary.

International Storytime – Saturday at the Hillsboro Main Library from 10am-11:30am. Volunteers share stories in Bulgarian along with fun activities. International Storytimes are a fun way to be exposed to a new language or enjoy a language that you already know! 

Out of this World Storytime Saturday 10am at the Tanasbourne Store. “Please join Miss Gioia for stories, crafts and a light snack!”

Powell’s Kids' Storytime Join us every Saturday in March at 11am. All ages.
