Festivals, Fairs and Free Events – January 2013

What better way to celebrate the New Year that to get out and enjoy the things that make our fair city so special? Here’s the highlights of what’s on offer this month. Some events are free. Others require admission. Click through for details. Enjoy!

Free First Friday at the Portland Children’s Museum January 4th 4-8pm.
Gem Faire at the
Washington County Fairgrounds January 4th – 6th.

Explore OMSI for only $2 per person on Sunday January 6th this month.
Great Eight Free Days Lan Su Chinese Garden will be open January 5th – 12th, with no cost for admission.
O-Shogatsu New Year’s Festival at the
Portland Japanese Garden January 6th noon-3pm. Included with Garden admission.

8th Annual ChocolateFest at the Oregon Convention Center January18th – 20th. A celebration of chocolate to benefit the World Forestry Center.
Fertile Ground is a 10-day arts festival that will be held January 24th - February 3rd in Portland, Oregon focused on new work in the Arts.
Portland Art Museum offers free admission on Friday the 25th this month 5-8 p.m
33rd Annual Glass, Antiques, and Collectibles Show and Sale January 26th – 27th.
