You know you are a geeky mama when......
you post on your social media that you introduced your child to Dr Who and are pleased report that he loved it.

That was today. We started "properly" with Dr #1 aka William Hartnell. LM made it through a half dozen episodes afore we broke for lunch and some art time. He is already begging for more after dinner.

We shall see, LM. We shall see.

What a lovely way to spend a day far too hot to play outside.

This is a rite of passage.

Aw, that is so cool! How old is your son?

I only started watching DW with the new incarnation. I actually had no idea it was such a national institution, as it were, in the UK. I knew vaguely it was an old show and was now being revived. But I had NO IDEA it had been going on for so long. I'm a completist sort of fandom person, so I wanted to watch ALL THE EPISODES.Then I began looking online and saw how many decades worth of shows there were. It was overwhelming!

I wouldn't have minded, except it was so hard to find the older episodes. And then I learned that some episodes had been entirely lost forever? I would love to start from the start and watch everything that is available. But I'm not even sure if there are all the DVD sets available or if there's some way to find them online. When I was looking, I'd find some portions of some seasons here and there, some episodes missing, some episodes mis-numbered or with conflicting titles. That drives me nuts. I want to find something official.

LM is 6 now going on 40+ sometimes. The things that boy says! LOL

Am using Youtube and dailymotion for episodes. There are some holes, yes but most of the big story arches are there. Well mostly. Seem to recall I used wiki for an episode list. (Clicks over to dig in new window......) here we are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Doctor_Who_serials

Twas great fun to introduce Lil'man to the Doctor. Right now we are deeply into the joys of homework and reading but I suspect we'll get back to some more geekish education here come Summer.
